Go Van Wert Grey!

Steve is helping coach the Van Wert Grey football team. It is what used to be called PAL Football...I'm not sure what the "official" name is now. Yesterday Nick and I went to watch one of the games with my mom and dad.

Bath Time Fun

I think the boys are becoming as addicted to blogging as I am!! This bathtime photo session was completely their idea. They were giving themselves Santa Claus beards in the bubbles, and said "Take our picture and put it in the 'puter" Then they wanted to hug for a picture too! I think the hug is adorable!! It makes me smile everytime I look at it.

Cookies!

Until today, Wednesday was the last day my kids stepped out of the house. Trey has had the flu since then, and we are running short on things to keep them occupied...besides sitting in front of the TV all day. So I took them out to ride in the combine with Bill this afternoon. I figured there wouldn't be anyone around to infect out in the field, so it should be safe. Trey was finally tired of riding, and I brought him home. We made cookies! I'm sure you're thinking that wasn't the smartest thing to do when he's sick, but don't worry you won't be getting one - we aren't sharing! :) Anyway, we had fun!

Walter the Farting Dog

Grandpa Bill came over for a visit Sunday afternoon. Minutes after he arrived, Trey pulled out his favorite book: "Walter the Farting Dog" He would listen to this book all day long if he could!

Harvest Time

Last night the boys were out in the field with Bill for the first time this year. They rode in the combine with him for a couple hours while he was taking off soybeans. I think all 3 boys loved it!

He acts just like his daddy!!

I had quite the day with Nick on Sunday...so I thought I'd share. Nick is definately my ornery one, but I was to the point of pulling my hair out yesterday! I even had to do the good old "count to ten" a couple times. Bill was gone all day, so I was on my own with the boys. To start the morning off, Nick was eating a banana and watching cartoons...next thing I know he's shredding it with the propellers on this airplane toy. He had smashed banana on EVERYTHING! Himself, the recliner, blankets, the dog, the carpet!! So he's sitting in time-out while I'm cleaning up the mess...next thing I know, he has poop up his back (Sidenote: we're trying really hard right now to get him potty trained) So I then have to take off all his clothes, including underwear. I cleaned him up, put a pull-up on him and sent him to the toy room to play while I continued to clean everything else. Right when I finished cleaning the smashed banana off the suede-ish recliner, he walks into the living room COVERED in vasoline!!! Face, arms, chest, and of course his hair... I still have no idea where he dug this out from. So I take him to the bathtub to clean up and put new clothes on. By now it's lunchtime. Thankfully, the next couple hours were pretty normal, and he was fairly good. I decided to make zuchini bread in the afternoon. Nick really likes to help me cook and bake, so he pulled up the step stool. I was halfway through making the batter, and went to the cupboard to get something...when I came back to the mixing bowl I saw that he had dumped about 1/2 box of baking soda into it. That was the end of helping me make zuchini bread!

To top the day off, Nick was playing in the curtains in the living room. He knows he's not supposed to play here, and was testing me...just as I walked up to him to pull him out, he grabbed the curtains and yanked hard. He snapped one of the brackets that holds the rod, and the whole curtain rod came tumbling down. He got a spanking for this, and had to go to timeout again. After about 5 minutes I walked over to talk to him, and explain why he was in trouble. When I bent down I could smell that familiar smell.........you guessed it! He pooped his pants AGAIN!

Needless to say, by the time Bill got home I was ready to get the heck out of the house!! (And drink a fishbowl sized margarita!!)

ABC's

There's no doubt in my mind Trey enjoys Preschool, and is learning too! He always comes home singing new songs and talking about what they did that day. He usually starts by telling me all about his lunch and the good things he had to eat. This makes me grin a little because I'm the one who packed it!! Anyway, we've been trying to teach him the ABC song for at least the last year... He finally sings it, thanks to school! Nick has learned some too!

Another "First" for Trey

Trey has had a lot of "firsts" lately, and the latest was his trip to the dentist. He had his first teeth cleaning and exam this afternoon. He was SO good! He did everything they asked of him, and didn't move a muscle in the chair. Dr. Cook said he had great teeth, with plenty of space in between for when his adult teeth come in...and he has a great bite! They also spoiled him with some toys, and a new (Lightning McQueen!!) toothbrush. I don't think he'll mind going back!

Nice and Clean!

Welcome Noah Ryan Hillery!

Nikki and Nathan had an adorable little boy last Thursday. He weighed 7lbs 13 oz . They will be such great parents. Congratulations guys!! I had to go up and see the cute little guy, and of course get a picture!

Another little great grandson for Grandma Betty! With all those little boys, I have a feeling there will be some wild times during the Holidays!!

Playhouse Disney Live!

This afternoon we took the boys to see Playhouse Disney Live. Grandma Cathy and Grandpa Jim went with us too! I think they really liked it. It was really neat seeing the boys sing and dance to the songs! They watch these shows almost every morning while we are getting ready for the day, so they knew a lot of the words and motions already. Grandma and Grandpa are going to Walt Disney World in a couple weeks, so they said this was getting them ready!

Patiently waiting for the show to start

This is the one and only picture I took of the show...As soon as I did, my Mom, Dad, and Bill were yelling "No Flash Photography!!!" (for the record, the whole place was lit up like a Christmas tree from "Flash Photography")
