Update

Unfortunately we have some more bad news. Kobe, our German Shepherd, was hit in front of our house last week by a motorcycle. Dr. Wilkin did everything he could, but Kobe didn't make it. He was such a sweet dog, and we will miss him.

On a lighter note, I've posted some pictures of some happier events that have happened this month. I think we are all caught up now.

Tribolet Family Reunion

Trey and Grandma Nancy

Lambert Days

There were four big, blow-up, jumping thingys (I don't know what they are called!!) They had a ball in these things!

Cooling off with some shaved ice!

Guess what color Trey had...

We heart sweet corn!!!

We have to cut Nick off from eating sweet corn or he would throw up, I'm sure of it!

Junior

Bill & the boys had some "guy time" one evening, and they found this little toad by the sandbox. Trey named it Junior, and from the way I understand it couldn't put it down until it was time to go in.

Awww....Junior

Grandma Sowers

For anyone who didn't know; Grandma Sowers passed away yesterday early morning. She was surrounded by family, and went peacefully. My grandma was the most caring, good hearted person I've ever met...and quite possibly will ever meet.

Summertime Fun

Last year I bought this fun little water sprinkler for about $3, and it has provided hours of fun for the boys...and the dog... They have a blast yelling, screaming, and running around like maniacs!

The boys were puzzled as to how this thing worked...Trey goes in for a closer look!

Kobe had to get in on some the action too!

Nickerbocker

I recently loaded pictures from my camera into the computer and found these Hysterical pictures of Nick. He at some point must have gotten ahold of the camera, turned it on, and took a bunch of pictures. I laughed until I cried, especially at the one of his eye!!!

The pictures came from the internal memory instead of the memory card, and from looks of Nick they've been in there for awhile!

Sweet Lake

On Friday (July 4th) we packed up the Yukon and headed to the lake. This was our first trip this year, and we had a great time fishing, swimming, and just hanging out. Swimming was a little interesting with Nick though...You've seen in previous posts that both of the boys LOVE to swim in pools. Well Nick would barely even walk through the water because he was afraid there were crocodiles and sharks in there. We never did convince him otherwise. I guess all those times I had them watching Animal Planet instead of cartoons (because they were learning!!) came back to haunt me!! Trey didn't care at all, and Nick just spent a lot of time playing in the sand.

About 10 minutes after we got there, Bill gave the boys these snakes that he bought for them. They were 3 ft long gummy snakes and the name on the tag was "Big Fat Hissy Fit" So even though the boys were on a major sugar buzz, we got a good laugh out of the name!

Fishing with Dad

You can't have Independence Day without fireworks!!

Bill lit "snakes" for the boys FOREVER!! I think it was the best $.50 we've ever spent! Anyway, he thought this looked like "art" so I had to take a picture.

Bubbles!

This is awful, but we had to laugh. The boys thought this was some sort of toy car and climbed on top...for anyone who is not familiar with camping equipment this is actually a poop tank!

Family Time

Last weekend we finally had a couple days with nothing planned. We spent Saturday doing what I envision the perfect summer day to be. We started by swimming at Karen's pool, then went to the rootbeer stand for supper. When we got home it was starting to get dark, so we went outside to chase/catch lightning bugs. I just can't get over how magical these little critters make the fields look every evening. I could just watch them for hours!!
Since Bill and I are both a little obsessed with fireworks, we had to get out some leftover bottle rockets, fire crackers, and sparklers to light off. Of course the boys only played with the sparklers, but they were a wonderful audience for the rest!

Water Wings are AMAZING!!! When we take the kids swimming, they just do their own thing. Neither one has any fear of the water, so they jump off the diving board and motor themselves all over the pool.
