Playing "Transformers"

Last night Trey and Bill were pretending to be Transformers. As most of you know, Trey LOVES the movie (and the toys) and is impatiently waiting for the sequel to come out. I may or may not have participated at first...but the beauty of running the blog is that you can be selective on how much you embarass yourself! Anyway - The lighting wasn't very good, so it's hard to see everything, but the sound alone makes me laugh to the point of wetting myself!!

To set up the scene: Trey is Bumblebee and Bill is Optimus Prime...

Happy Birthday Trey!

Yesterday was officially Trey's birthday. He had school, so I made cupcakes for him to take and share. He ended up bringing 4 cupcakes home as leftovers, so I decided not to make another cake. With all the partying on Sunday, we kept it kind of quiet at home... I made Trey's favorite meal - Spaghetti!!! (and meatballs for the carnivore - Bill). He's had a wonderful couple of days for his birthday! I can't believe he's already 4 yrs old! Happy Birthday, Buddy! We love you bunches!

Trey's Birthday Party

We had a Birthday Party for Trey yesterday afternoon at McDonald's Playland! (Trey's favorite place in the whole world) I think the kids had fun, but it was total Chaos!!!

Can you believe we got this many kids to sit still at one time??

More Birthday Fun!

After McDonald's we went to my mom & dad's house for another birthday celebration. Trey and I both got to blow out candles on our birthday cake!

Trick or Treat!!

This year I took the boys to WalMart and said "Okay, go pick out your costumes" Ok, well I didn't just stand their and watch, but you get my drift... Trey's choice was not surprising at all - Spiderman. Nick on the other hand picked one that I couldn't believe. He chose this cute little spider. I'm still in shock that he picked IT over Batman, Superman, Pirates, etc... But I'm so glad he did!! I think Bill and I were laughing to ourselves over it the whole time Trick or Treating. They did have a good time going door to door, but then we passed another kid dressed as Spiderman BUT he had muscles built into his costume! So Trey pretty much cried and whined about it the rest of the time. We even tried stuffing paper towels in the arms to give him muscles, but that wouldn't do. He sure isn't having any problem eating the candy and bouncing off the walls!!!

Fall Fun!

Well I loaded the pictures backwards, and I don't want to wait on it again...so bear with me!

I got the idea yesterday to let the boys pick out pumpkins to paint. My thought was they would enjoy picking out their "perfect pumpkin" and it would be interesting to see what they chose. So we stopped at the Lloyd's barn to get some...well Larry had this big pile of stones that was way more irrestistible to play on than the pumpkins. So, I picked them out for them. Today, when we were home they painted them. To my surprise, my normally wild and impatient children were perfectly content for about 20 minutes. They had fun, and were very proud of their work!
Warming up with Hot Chocolate!! Trey loved it, and said next time we needed marshmallows! (where does he learn this stuff?)

Trey has been DYING to play in a pile of leaves, so while we waited for the paint to dry on the pumpkins I raked up a big pile for them!

Well they definately aren't child art prodigys, but I think they look wonderful!

How could they resist this?!

Latest Happenings

We have been fairly busy for the last week or so...I just either forget my camera, or have it and forget to take pictures. Last Fri & Sat my Mom and I had a successful garage sale, which took quite a bit more preparation time than I expected. I put out all the kids clothes...so there was a lot of pricing with those little stickers! Ugh!! But, believe it or not, we decided to try again in the spring!

Friday night I went out to eat at Billy's with Ryanne and Lizze, and the Lincolnview girls. I was the odd-ball Cougar. It was nice to catch-up and drink the awesome Margaritas they have there!

Saturday was more of the Garage sale, then the Buckeye's game. My parents had their friends over, so Trey and I crashed the party (and ate their good food!)

Sunday evening we went to a Get-together at Grandma Betty's house. My cousin Ryan is home from somewhere across the Atlantic ocean (Lol! I can't remember which place he is calling home right now!!) He brought his girlfriend Lucy home to visit as well. Anyways, It was nice to see Ryan, and meet Lucy. The pictures below were taken by my Aunt Cindy...This whole crazy scene was going on when we arrived at the house! My Uncle Dave rode his motorcycle to the house, and I guess my Grandma wanted a ride!! She's one Wild Grandma!!!

Go Van Wert Grey!

Steve is helping coach the Van Wert Grey football team. It is what used to be called PAL Football...I'm not sure what the "official" name is now. Yesterday Nick and I went to watch one of the games with my mom and dad.

Bath Time Fun

I think the boys are becoming as addicted to blogging as I am!! This bathtime photo session was completely their idea. They were giving themselves Santa Claus beards in the bubbles, and said "Take our picture and put it in the 'puter" Then they wanted to hug for a picture too! I think the hug is adorable!! It makes me smile everytime I look at it.

Cookies!

Until today, Wednesday was the last day my kids stepped out of the house. Trey has had the flu since then, and we are running short on things to keep them occupied...besides sitting in front of the TV all day. So I took them out to ride in the combine with Bill this afternoon. I figured there wouldn't be anyone around to infect out in the field, so it should be safe. Trey was finally tired of riding, and I brought him home. We made cookies! I'm sure you're thinking that wasn't the smartest thing to do when he's sick, but don't worry you won't be getting one - we aren't sharing! :) Anyway, we had fun!
