Chicken Kabobs!

I made chicken skewers for dinner last night, and the boys thought they were GREAT! I think the chicken could have tasted like cardboard, and they still would have been excited...as long as they could eat it off the sticks!!

Birthday Fun!!

The Figley girls (Avery & Addy) had their birthday party last Saturday. The kids always have such a good time there, probably because there are TONS of them!

Before it was too cold outside, they were playing with bubbles:
Then we sang "Happy Birthday"

The girls opened their presents...

While they were opening presents, the rest of the kids were packed in around them so tight, it was hard to see what they got! But I think they were happy!!
Next came the pinata! Dusty had them take turns - youngest to oldest, so Addy went first.
Trey taking his turn...
It worked out perfectly! The pinata held up until the last kid had a turn...and then it was CANDY MANIA!!!!
Happy Birthday Girls!! You had a great party!

Tub Time

I'm not sure why, but the last couple weeks (prior to the warm weather), the favorite past time of the boys is to hang out in the bathtub and play. Each day, until 2:30pm, I have only 1 child at home with me...so I think they like having the tub all to themselves!! Well, there's only so much reading and cleaning I can do in the bathroom while they're in the tub...so I got my camera and took some pictures of Trey the last time!

What A Beeeautiful Day!!!

I couldn't have asked for a better spring day than today. The sunshine and warm weather was AWESOME! We played outside today for 5 hours!

First, the boys found this worm they named "wormie" (They aren't extremely creative in naming things). I kept trying not to laugh as they were playing with him (yes, it was a "him")...because I don't think it was alive very long after they got ahold of him.

We got a lot done today...like mowing the grass...

...fixing the mower...
...and some spring cleaning!
The boys were "shooting some hoops" (they kept saying this phrase over and over).
They colored for a long time with sidewalk chalk

Trey drew me a rainbow, and asked me how to spell "I Love U" How sweet!
What a busy, satisfying, exhausting day! I'm pooped! :)

Yee Haw!!

We took the boys to the rodeo last Saturday night. We had a good time, but the boys were ready to head home about halfway through. We got there late - which was my fault (yes Bill, I'm admitting it was my fault!! haha!) We were there plenty of time before the bull riding started, but not to get the boys on the list to ride the sheep & stick horses...or to get a very good seat. It was packed! So, words of wisdom from us; Get there as early as you can!!To start the night, the cowboys are introduced while walking down a line of fire...which the boys thought was super-cool!
Some shots of us:

Good Times!

Little Swimmers!

The last of the boys' swimming lessons for this session was last night. They had quite a crowd watching! Mom, Dad, Grandpa Jim, Grandma Cathy, Uncle Steve, Grandpa Bill & Grandma Nancy!

Nick floating on his back
Trey has no fear. He's been jumping off the diving board for several weeks now, and last night he dove!
Nick had never attempted the diving board before last night... Trey was being a good big brother and gave him a pep talk! He was obviously nervous as he walked out to the end, all hunched over and taking baby steps.....
But he jumped!!!!
Both boys passed Eel, so we now have 2 little Rays! Great job boys!

Chef Nick

Last week I (we) baked a couple pies to take to my parents house for Sunday dinner. Nick helped me make them. They turned out delicious, and he was so proud!
