An Afternoon At the Park

Yesterday, I just took the whole day off for Trey's program. After we ate at Pizza Hut with all the Grandmas, I took the boys to Smiley Park to play. This was the first time we've been there since they added the Children's Garden. They've really done a great job with it! The flowers were beautiful!

Can you find "Nick the Snail" in the picture below?Pay no attention to the extra set of legs under the caterpillar... :)
Trey was trying to be a bee!!
I just love pictures like this! And thankfully, they are still at the age where they'll pose for me!
Peek-A-Boo!
The swings...I kept track how long they were swinging (with me pushing, of course) and it was 30 minutes! Wow!
Muscles!!

They liked the double slides. They could race to bottom.

Trey's Preschool Program

Trey had his preschool program this morning. He did a great job with his class singing and dancing!Nick was actually a really good boy through the whole thing. He knows that next year he gets to go to school, and he's super excited!
Good job Trey! We can't wait until next year when they are both in the program, and Trey gets to graduate!

Party at the Figley's

The Figley's had us over for a party last night. We had a lot of fun hanging out and playing cards...well Bill was playing cards. There were TONS of kids there, as always, and the boys played and played until they were filthy! They fell asleep before we pulled out of their driveway.

The lovely hostess and host!
Trey was in heaven because we let him drink a pop! Everytime I would try to take his picture he would take a drink. I think he wanted it documented that he was allowed to have it for a change!

Wheat Field

Bill planted wheat around our house this year, and Newman LOVES it!! As soon as we let him out the door, he takes off for to run through the wheat. He actually loves it so much that the hair on his back stands up!! Nick was out running around with him last night, so I took some pictures. Bill didn't stop them, but you could see him cringe a little when Nick would fall and knock some down.

Four Wheel Jamboree

We took the boys to see Monster Trucks this afternoon! Nick really liked it, and Trey got into it at first, but kind of pooped out by the end. In the beginning the trucks all pulled up in front of the audience, and the drivers got out for introductions."Big Dawg" was the truck in front of us...
Here are the boys & Bill cheering on the trucks!
A few action photos...

After the show was over we walked around to see some of the trucks up close. The favorite truck for both of the boys was "Tailgator" so here's our picture next to it:
Thumbs up!

Welcome AJ!

Our friends Karen & Jeff have a new baby, Aydin Jeffery Lautzenheiser. We was born earlier this week. The boys and I went over to visit tonight, and meet little AJ. He was so sweet, and barely made a sound the whole time we were there. He even put up with all the passing around so the boys could hold him! Both of the boys did a wonderful job holding AJ. They were so careful and quiet. Nick acted a little more comfortable than Trey.
Trey has never really been interested in babies, but he did just fine. (He ignored Nick altogether for the first 6 months of Nick's life)

Congratulations Karen & Jeff!! You sure make a cute baby!!!

Mother's Day 2009

I had a wonderful Mother's Day this year...I woke up to some surprises from the boys and Bill, then we had Bill's parents over for lunch (and he cooked!). He even swept the floor, so I had to take a picture! And Trey "fixed" the dishwasher for me!
Bill and his mom, Nancy (and Nick jumped into the picture too)
Then later on, we went to my parents' house. They had a surprise for the boys! New big wheels!

My mom, Cathy, and me. A nice picture does exist, but this was too funny not to post! I am slightly taller than my mom (like 1/2 inch), so my mom put her arms around me, pushed me down, and stood on her tip toes. Look at the evil look on her face!!!
Grandma Betty, and my mom
Happy Mother's Day to all the mothers! I hope you had a great day!

Trey's Gift

I received my first-ever homemade Mother's Day gift! Trey brought this home from school yesterday, and just couldn't wait until Sunday, so I opened it up. It's like a mini little picture frame with a magnet on the back. I love it!
